Make your own beauty products at home using the items you harbour in your refrigerator, cupboards, counters, et cetera!

1) Facial Cleansers - Gentle Oatmeal (for those with sensitive skin)
- 1/2 cup of oatmeal
 - 2 tbsp (tablespoons) of plain vanilla yogurt
INSTRUCTIONS: Mix Oatmeal and Yogurt in a small bowl until the two substances form a paste-like texture. Apply to face, smoothing it in circular motions avoiding your delicate eye area, then let sit for about 8-10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and a splash of cool water to close your pores.

Coconut Cleanser (for the Tahitan lover)
- 3 tsp (teaspoons) coconut oil
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp glycerin
- 2 tsp water
INSTRUCTIONS: Bring ingredients to a melting point in a pot or saucepan. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk the liquid  for 3-5 minutes. Transfer to a jar when cooled. Apply to face in circular motions, rinse with lukewarm water then a shot of cool water to close opened pores.

2) Facial Scrub - Invigorating Green Tea Scrub
- 1 green tea, tea bag or 1/2 cup of loose green tea leaves
-  boiling hot water
- small bowl
INSTRUCTIONS: Bring water to a boil using a teapot, kettle or pot. Pour boiled water into a coffee mug then place the tea bag or loose leaves in the hot water. Let stand for about 3 minutes.
For tea bag users - remove tea bag from the hot liquid and set it into a small bowl. Let cool for 1 - 2 minutes so that the bag is only warm (not scolding hot). You can drink the green tea left in the mug if desired to reduce waste of the product. (Do not add any milk to the tea so that you will get the full benefits and antioxidants) Next, open up the tea bag with a pair of clean scissors or just with your clean fingertips. Empty the leaves into the small bowl. Using circular motions, apply the "scrub" to your face gently but with slight pressure. Be sure to avoid your sensitive eye area. Let sit on skin for about 3 - 5 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm then cool water to close pores.

For loose leaf users - with a small holed strainer, empty the liquid through the strainer and into another mug or bowl. Shake the leaves into the small bowl and apply the same way as listed above. Rinse the same way as well.

**TIP - if you don't feel like drinking the tea, use the warm liquid as a facial toner. Using a cotton ball or organic cotton pad, soak in the liquid then apply in dabbing motions to cleaned skin. Your skin should feel tight and fresh as well as clean.
